Really 2.5 stars. I picked this book up at a library sale for fifty cents. Found it to be a fun summer read, if you consider fun murder and intrigue during the middle ages fun. While I enjoyed the story and the character's personalities, half a star deduction for predictability: the murderer was obvious from nearly page one, it was just a matter of how the heroine was going to escape the predictable end of novel entrapment.
