The photos are cute, the text is informative. This book appears to be unsure of its audience -- preschool or early elementary? There are too many facts/too much for a counting book, and the counting part makes it less attractive for the kids who are interested in the facts. Appendix includes fact list, combined glossary and index, information about the breeding center, and resources (books/websites) to learn more.
